CHEMISTRY LABORATORY ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Maintained an on-time delivery rate greater than 90% with an average sample load between 1700 and 1900 samples per month.
  • Performed routine maintenance on ICP-OES, ICP-MS, GC-MS, CVAA, and various autosamplers and digestion equipment.
  • Completed non routine quality control on all above instruments to maintain compliance with federal/state regulation.
  • Designed and implemented a paperless data system that reduced data review time. System was adopted as the department standard across all instrumentation.
  • Created and scripted supplemental tools to LIMS user interface to increase efficiency.
  • Centralized multiple dedicated machines to employee workstations allowing for the simultaneous operation of multiple instruments.
  • Collaborated with IT team to improve proprietary LIMS automatic data flagging suite reducing human error during data review.
  • Member of the Laboratory Safety Committee since 2013 at both laboratories
